Kozmo has chased Mr Chirpy from Midway, Canada to Paris France and now he is in Cairo, Egypt!

“Is it ever hot here! And there is so much sand, the place is like a giant litter box!” I said to my pilot.

When we landed, a small striped cat came out to the plane and met with me.

She was a priestess of Bast. They had been following Mr Chirpy since he arrived in Egypt. She brought me a note from the temple.

It said, “The yellow bird who tries to bring great evil on the people.  Has gone down the river to where the pyramids are it will take much to defeat his evil eye and save the planet.
Move quickly to catch him!”

And she told me that she had brought me transportation for my journey!

I was excited, until I saw it! I reminded myself that I was Kozmo, Agent 00.5 of the Feline Bureau of Investigation – International Man Cat of Mystery and a stinking Camel was an adventure.

I did not believe myself.

I traveled down the river to the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx! What a long trip! The camel stunk and spit and the sun was really hot!

I  was starting to wonder if I had too much sun. The Sphinx looked like Queen Penelope! I was shaking my head to clear it, when I heard a small voice!

“Sir, Sir, are you Agent 00.5?”

“Uh! Yes I am. Can I help you?”

“Please, can you jump up onto this wall and speak with me and my Mummy”

I leapped a mighty (and manly leap).

I was expecting  to see 2 cats!

One was a cute little Baast priestess and the other was a Mummy!

The Mummy said,

and then she disappeared!

I was totally scared and creeped out and maybe even a little angry! I had spent a long time coming down the river and I did not know a thing!

The cute little priestess batted her big green eyes and said, “Oh! Mr Agent 00.5, my sister priestesses and I would be honored if you would come to our temple. We can figure out what the Mummy told you and we can feed you. And we can get you back to Cairo very quickly!”

How could I say no.

I met 3 wonderful priestesses, but I could not tell which was which!

They were not only lovely, but they fed me a wonderful real Egyptian meal, then we shared the most wonderful catnip I’d ever had.

We had a great romp and wrestle and we fell asleep in a giant fur pile.

In my dreams, the Mummy came back and this time she spoke English! She said, “We have tracked the evil birdie, even though he done is best to elude us!
Some chicken sent us Morse code through the plumbing system. He is hiding in the King Tut Museum! My priestesses shall take you there!” Then she put me on a carpet and one of the priestesses groomed me as we flew through the night sky!   What a dream!

When I woke up, I was in the arms of a sphinx in front of the Museum! I was back in Cairo!

It was really early, I walked up to the front door and followed a guard into the museum. I had to find Mr. Chirpy!

I thought, “Hmm, Mr Chirpy really thinks he is a big bird and dreams of world domination, I should look in the throne room!”

I turned a corner and there he was!!!

Mr. Chirpy spotted me the minute I walked into the room! He chirped and there was a big bang and the room filled with smoke!

I could not see, but I followed the mad scrabbling noise down the hall and around the corner.

In front of me was a death mask

And underneath its case was a crumpled piece of paper!

I LOVE that sweet Elizabeth leaves me notes, but why do they have to be so hard to read?

I guess that means I won’t get to spend another night with the priestesses….
